Frustrating and poorly organized

This one's going back. They need an editor. On nearly every page the Figures that illustrate what's being described are on the opposite or next page?! Screenshots are not clear, and there are no helpful images showing where the drop-down menus are or zoomed-in shots to help locate tools, menus, or settings. This is a book that was rushed to press and it looks like it. I bought it because the T of C looked comprehensive and the review seemed positive. Turns out it was probably written by the publisher. Spend your money on another manual.

Over that last three decades I have bought dozens of computer books. Most have been graphic design. If I put all the books in a pile from best at the top to worst at the bottom I would have to dig a hole to place this book. I just started learning Maya and you say this book is for beginners who need help navigating the gigantic cacophony of menus that make up this wonderful software. Ok so you tell me to select Animate Ghost Selected Options menu. Ok so how am I going to find that command???? You cant add one simple sentence to guide me to find this command. Throughout this entire book I spend hours wandering thru the menus of Maya trying to find the one simple click on your tutorials when all you had to do is add a few words to guide me. And all the pics for the tutorials are on the next page. You have to flip back and forth!! Ok so I have never posted a bad review on anything in my life because I believe that tolerance is a virtue. But this lack of effort or respect to people who are trying to better themselves in the creative, graphics world has motivated me to express my frustration. Oh yea you also wasted my hard earned money!!!! Sorry!!
